Children and Families in Transition Seminar WHEN: 2nd AND 4th Wednesday starting at 5:30 3rd Friday of each month (NOT the last Friday of each month!) from 12:00 pm (Noon) to 1:30 pm WHERE: 270 S. Tejon, Room W113 (Jury Assembly Room) WHY: This is required for all divorcing parents and allocation of parental responsibility cases, (in El Paso and Teller Counties), of children under 18 years of age, within 45 days of filing and before final orders can be set. WHAT: You will watch two videos, one about the effects of divorce on children, The other about legal terms and the legalities of the divorce process. There will be an attorney and a mental health professional there, Volunteering their time, to answer your questions. Adoption Clinic: Free “How to Adoption Clinic” Instructions on how to handle your own stepparent, kinship, and custodial adoption. Held on the third Thursday of each month from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Room W170. An attorney will be available to provide basic information. Be sure to bring your paperwork.

Respite Parenting Program – In-home visits that focus on life skills and help get family access to community resources.
